12 Tags of Christmas: Tag #10

All caught up! I wasn't crazy about the packing tape transfer technique... for whatever reason, it didn't work very well for me. Not my favorite tag of the bunch, but I do rather like the "believe" banner, anyway!

12 Tags of Christmas: Tag #9

Before starting the 12 Tags of Christmas, I had NO idea that Ranger's distress inks are embossable. (Is that a word!?) Anyway, I think I'll be reaching for them more often than I already do, now that I know that they'll hold embossing powder!!

The background stamp on this tag is from Unity Stamps, and I used two Martha Stewart punches to create the garland arrangement.

12 Tags of Christmas - Tag #8

I didn't have a whole lot in the way of "Steampunk" supplies... and I didn't have all of the metallic paint dabbers, so I used metallic embossing powder instead.

12 Tags of Christmas: Tag #7

I loved using the glassine paper!

12 Tags of Christmas - Tag #6

I couldn't find the self-adhesive metal sheets, but I did find some 12x12 metallic paper from Colorbok at JoAnn, and it worked just fine! If you haven't yet checked out Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas, you're missing out!

12 Tags of Christmas: Tag #5

This technique was brand new to me. I've used alcohol inks a bajillion times, but I had NO idea that you could use another type of ink to pull the alcohol ink OFF like this! Crazy!

12 Tags of Christmas - Tag #4

Hmmmm, not sure how I feel about this one. (I skipped Tag #3, by the way... didn't have any reinkers of any sort and didn't want to have to buy a bunch of them just to complete that technique!) Anyway, I like the watercolor look of the background, though I don't like how it curled the tag as it dried. The snowman is kinda cute, but the crackle paint didn't dry/crack very evenly (there's a big gob at the bottom that sort of just failed!). Well, on to the next tag...!
